Description

How do writers look at the history and architecture of a building, and render it into poetry and fiction?

In this reading tour, participants will be led by Desmond Kon Zhicheng-Mingdé, editor of the anthology Eye/Feel/Write: Building Architectonics, through the historic former Supreme Court at the National Gallery. They will hear six established authors – Aaron Lee, Amanda Chong, Clara Chow, Daryl Lim Wei Jie, Josephine Chia, and Tse Hao Guang – read their works, and share their creative process.

Commissioned by the National Arts Council, the anthology Eye/Feel/Write features 12 eminent Singapore authors who penned ekphrastic pieces inspired by the former Supreme Court.

About the Organiser

Squircle Line Press is a boutique press, happy to spend an inordinate amount of time and attention on the finer details of putting a book together. We love every kind of narrative conscious of its craft. We love everything crisp. Like a caesura. We love everything figural – the leitmotif. We love everything of a literary weltanschauung.
